Gina Grodin
Gina Grodin, a native of California, emerges as a multifaceted artist, performer, and educator. Her journey into the world of dance commenced at the age of four, igniting a passion that has since propelled her through a rigorous trajectory of artistic development and scholarly pursuit.
Under the direction of esteemed mentors Shelly Christy, Jacob Gutierrez-Montoya, Philip Flickinger, Megan Brunsvold Mercedes, and Linda Bair, Gina underwent comprehensive training spanning a diverse array of disciplines including contemporary, jazz, musical theater, tap, hip-hop, and ballet. Imbued with a dedication to her craft, she trains as a performer with the esteemed Sacramento Contemporary Dance Theater company.
She has concluded her training at CSU Sacramento, graduating in the Spring 2024 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance, marking a significant milestone in her artistic pursuits.
Throughout her academic tenure, Gina distinguished herself not only as a performer but also as a choreographer, receiving recognition for her contemporary and tap compositions. While Gina is a performer and choreographer, her true passion lies in the realm of pedagogy, where she finds boundless fulfillment in nurturing the artistic potential of today’s youth.
For the past eight years, Gina has taught across a diverse spectrum of styles ranging from hip-hop and contemporary to lyrical, tap, musical theater, improvisation, ballet, and creative dance. She finds the most joy in finding new ways to promote individuality and creation in her students.
Gina's dedication to her craft propels her towards new horizons of artistic exploration.
